Secondary School Apprenticeship ProgramsSecondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) is a high school program that provides students with the opportunity to begin an apprenticeship while still in high school. Students must be employed in an apprenticeable trade. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a head start on a trade while completing secondary school graduation. Secondary School Apprentices get paid while they are learning valuable skills and gaining high school credit (wages will vary depending on the trade and the employer). Trade and technical careers are an excellent alternative to college and university. Careers are available in everything from aerospace to electronics and a whole lot more.
